  • Account Information: Apple ID (for purchase verification, restore, and subscription management only)
  • Device Information: device model, operating system version (for app functionality)
  • App Usage Data: reading time, feature usage frequency (for service improvement)
  • Crash Reports: technical data related to app crashes (for issue resolution)
• File Access:
  • Document and Audio Files: We access supported document and audio files you explicitly import into the app.
  • Reading Progress: We store your bookmarks, highlights, and reading position locally.
  • We do not access any other files on your device without your permission.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide ebook reading and text-to-speech functionality
• Manage your local library of imported books
• Save your reading progress, bookmarks, and highlights
• Process membership purchases and legacy subscription renewals (through Apple's payment system)
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Respond to your inquiries and requests

3. Data Storage and Processing

Regarding data processing, please note:

• All book file parsing is performed locally on your device
• Imported books are stored locally in the app's sandbox
• We do not upload your book files to any server
• Reading data (progress, highlights) is stored locally
• If you use an API-based or cloud TTS engine, the text required for speech synthesis is transmitted to that provider
• All local data is deleted upon app uninstallation
• Analytics data uses Apple's privacy-preserving analytics service

4. Book Library Access

Our app requires access to your files to:

• Import supported document and audio files from compliant sources
• Display book covers and metadata
• Analyze text for Text-to-Speech playback
• You retain full ownership and control of your imported files

5. Membership and Purchase Services

Regarding purchases and memberships:

• For new users, the in-app purchase flow currently provides a one-time Lifetime purchase option.
• Some users may still have legacy weekly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions from earlier app versions.
• Non-members can keep up to 10 books and up to 10 documents, including during the grace period.
• During the 7-day premium-access grace period, non-members can access Premium Neural TTS voices (English only) and use background music with no daily time limit.
• After the grace period, background music for non-members is limited to 20 minutes per day.
• Payments are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple account; we do not receive full payment card details.
• Auto-renewing subscriptions, if present on your account, renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before period end.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings -> Apple ID -> Subscriptions.
• Purchasing Lifetime does not automatically cancel an existing auto-renewing subscription.
• Restore Purchases is available in the app to recover existing entitlements linked to your Apple account.

6. Data Security

We implement the following measures to protect your data:

• Book files remain local on your device
• Cloud/API TTS engines process only the text needed for synthesis when you choose those engines
• Secure file handling mechanisms
• App sandbox isolation for imported books
• Regular security reviews
• Strict internal access controls

7. Children's Privacy

Our application is suitable for users aged 4 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us for deletion.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights:

• Access your books and reading data stored in the app
• Delete your imported books at any time
• Clear reading history and cache data
• Opt-out of analytics data collection (via system settings)

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you in the app and update the "Last Updated" date on this page. Your continued use of our services after such changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
